who wants a kitty?
as many of you, my fellow queensters, are aware we have a big feral cat problem in the area (as well as the rest of NYC).
my boyfriend and i where able to save three kittens off the street a few weeks ago. they are in foster care right now and looking for a careing home.
they are all males and have had their shoots and been nutered. if you can find it in your heart to take a kitten that would be great. if we can't find a place for them in the next few weeks, they will be going back out on the streets since all the shelters in the area are full (trust me i've called everybody) and we don't just want to drop them off at ACC (aka the pound) where they put cats to sleep.
please help! contact me for more info and pictures!

in other news, im really excited about moving ot astoria. i live on 35th street, just off of ditmars blvd. i really like astoria, its very lively and busy and almost the perfect place for me.
oh and if any of you have your own buisness or anything and need an employee, i need a parttime job. just throwing it out there, you never know.
Looking for a good haircutter in Astoria...
I would like to know of any good haircutters in Astoria? I am in the Broadway/Steinway area and I am looking for a decent salon, nothing too expensive for a cut and blow-dry.
I was going to the Beauty school for trims and touch ups but now I am in dire need for a haircut.
Who do you recommend?
I saw this when I was surfing lj, so I thought I'd join. I live on 30th Ave, right down the street from the neptune diner. I've lived here about 15 years. Have you tried the 30th Ave thriftstore yet?
